 Discounts and Free Admission to Municipal Facilities

There is a system in place that offers free admission to or discounts on admission to certain municipal facilities for foreign exchange students and their families.
We hope that you fully utilize this service and enjoy the facilities that Sendai has to offer.

Eligibility	International students who have Student visa status and reside in Sendai International students who have Student visa status and are enrolled in any of the universities, colleges, junior colleges, higher professional schools, technical schools in Sendai city. Family members accompanying international students who apply to 1 or 2. ※Please inquire directly to the facility to find out about detailed conditions such as eligibilityof families.
How to take advantage of this service	Please show your Student Identification Card issued by the school you are enrolled in and Residence Card when you go to the ticket window.
Facilities Offering Free Admission or Discount	Sendai City Yagiyama Zoological Park, Sendai Literature Museum, Sendai City Museum, Sendai Science Museum, Sendai Astronomical Observatory, Sendai City Museum of History and Folklore, Sendai City War Reconstruction Memorial Hall (Exhibition Room), Sendai City Tomizawa Site Museum, Sendai City Jomon Site Park, Akiu Waterfall Botanical Garden, Sendai City Wild Plants Garden *Discounts rates and conditions may be subject to change without advanced notice

 

 Sendai International Students Program（せんだい留学生交流委員）

The Sendai International Exchange Students Program consists of foreign exchange students who work alongside Sendai Tourism, Convention and International Association(SenTIA) to help with international exchange activities in the community and educational programs to promote international understanding.
Its term is one year contract that can be extended for one more year.(Only those that can speak Japanese are eligible.)

Activities

• Participate in regular meetings and training courses.
• Help with projects that the Sendai Tourism, Convention and International Association organizes.
• Plan and carry out projects and events.
• Help and support other exchange students and foreign residents living in Sendai.
